Dr. Stoll's Comments on the Acne Miracle Program

Posted by Gregory Glatz on April 26, 2002 at 13:05:24:

To DR. Stoll,

Indeed, skilled relaxation is vitally improtant in curing acne in many people. However, it is my opinion that this approach alone will take a long time to work and may have limited results if the physical causes of acne such as poor diet, chronic nutrient deficiencies, poor digestion, and clogged bowels and liver are not addressed and prevented from reoccurring.

Sometimes the physical causes of acne are a result of chronic stress. Sometimes they are not. Even if they are, physical methods such as the ones described in the Acne Miracle program may be needed to repair the damage already caused.

I mean not to discourage anyone who has acne from using SR. In fact, I encourage everyone whether they have acne or not to use SR. Just be aware that this aprroach may not completely effective unless the physical causes of acne are dealt with. That is why following the principles of the Acne Miracle program may be essential in curing many of the people who suffer acne.

Check the glossary/index for Walt's acne treatment recommendations. SR is only 1 piece of the puzzle. He also recommends changes to diet (WFD), EFA's etc. The reason he mentioned SR is because it was the one thing that he recommends that was missing from the AcneMiracle program.

You may also want to go back to the home page and read his "Modern Medical Interpretation of Stress".

I stand partially corrected. His wellness protocol for acne does address some of the physical causes of acne. However, there are some issues such as internl cleansing, bifido bacteria supplementation, and parasite killing that he does not address. This may sound like nit picking, but I know from experience that if the above mentioned issues are not taken care of, acne may still persist despite SR and the things Dr. Stoll recommends. Just wanted to prevent acne sufferes from getting discouraged. Keep on trying to cure your acne, even if it seems you've exhausted all your options.

Thanks Gregory. I thought Dr. Stoll reviewed the Acne Miracle program and called it "a valuable step in the right direction". He just wanted to add SR to the mix. I'm not sure where the disagreement is.

Don't forget that NO one treatment works for EVERYBODY. He just recommends the things that will work for most people. Also, we need to look at a person's health holistically, ie. all of the systems. For example if a person with acne also has candida overgrowth, Walt DOES recommend anti-fungals etc to kill the little beasties (see LGS,CR-S archives).

Finally, all of us, including the good doctor, tend to recommend and do the things that we are the most familiar with. Walt has said many times that he is not an herbologist. So while he is not against cleanses etc, I just don't think he is personally familiar with them.

By the way Gregory, the original poster was asking for testimonials of the acne miracle method, but I didn't see anyone step forward. I too would be interested in hearing from anyone who has done the program. I already do the things listed there, except the cleansing. I'm encouraged by the program, and would like to try the cleansing as a one-time shot, just to clean out the 40+ years of gunk, then I would rely on my new lifestyle to stay clean. Have you tried the program, or at least some of the cleanses ?

Thanks, Gregory G.

I have found that anyone who practices ANY ONE of the legs of the 3 legged wellness stool begins to more likely start doing the others. This is most true of SR.

It is just that each leg takes discipline and that is the hardest thing for any human to do. We all will squirm on the hook of necessity and try ANYTHING else before finally giving in to the inevitable.

There are many approaches out there that will help and some even permanently. If the person is willing to try every one until they find the one (if any) that resolves the problem, that is not a bad way to go. However, since that trial and error, for the vast majority, will take a LOT longer than SR to work............

Besides, SR can be used in conjunction with ANY other approach, has only positive side effects and is mainly free.
Perhaps that is it's major weakness: It is not expensive enough to get advertized with slick TV ads.

I am not sure what Dr. Stoll meant by calling the Acne Miralce program a "Hobson's Choice". This seemed to imply something negative, but I'm ready to be corrected. My main concern with his comments was that he was discouraging poeple from trying the program. The program contains some valuable procedures which Dr. Stoll does not list. The miso protocol, specifically, is extremely helpful in not only dealing with acne but with improving general health as well.

Yes, I have tried the program and it has given me awesome reults. In fact the acne miralce program is what got me into the whole alternative medcine field.

As for the cleansing, I tired it once about half a year ago and I must say it did not work out too well. This was my fault as I failed to follow many of the protocols in the ebook. Also, I beleive the fact that I was only 15 at the time of trying the cleanse had something to do with the problems I encountered. However, do not let my experience with cleansing stop you. I believe if done properly cleansing can be a very valuable if not necessary step to achieveing maximum wellness. Once I am a little bit older I fully intend to try internal cleansing again.

Thanks, Gregory G.

I am sorry you got a negative vibe from me. Basically, I said I wanted to hear from anyone who tried it for their experiences (good or bad). I certainly make no income from what I suggest to reverse the causes. I do not see how this program can do as much for that.

Time will tell.

IF this program proves to be more effective (in the long run) than what I have been recommending, I will be the first to switch!

Wow, you are very open to new ways of doing things. I respect that. It's not so much that you would have to change your existing program. You would just have to add a few things.

I agree with you on how the inclusion of SR would make the program perfect. Learning of SR from your site has made a difference in my life. Thank you for all the hard work you've put into running this message board.

Here's one more recommendation for relaxation in this situation. WebMd says:

Your skin is connected to more than your insides. This living suit is united with your mind, your emotions, and your health so intimately that some experts say relaxation is one of the best skin products you could ever use.

Here is where the entire article is:

This makes so much sense to me. I too have noticed when away on vacation, away from stresses and strain of my daily life, my skin clears up amazingly and I can eat whatever food I want without a problem, even foods I am normally allergic too. Go figure! When I return to my old environment, it comes back. ;-(

I remember one time a few years ago, going away on vacation. It was only for a week, but I had the time of my life, and in one of the most remote parts of Australia.I was so happy and contented, more than I had ever been, plus being around nature is very soothing for me. After the flight back home, in the taxi on the way home I actually cried at having to leave and come back home. Some real issues I need to deal with.

Thanks again, this brought a lot of understanding to me.
