Urticaria/ acetylcholine/pantothenic acid relation

Dr. Stoll:
Nine months ago I began using the vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) to treat my acne. Currently I have experience complete remission of acne. The problem is that four months ago I developed Cholingeric Urticaria, causing me to break out in intense itching hives. I just discovered that pantothenic acid is used to create acetylcholine, a cause of Cholingeric Urticaria? Is the pantothenic acid causing my hives? I'd really like to hear your opinion before I quit taking this stuff. It was a miracle for my acne.
Thank you very much.

Hi, Corby.

Certainly possible. This points up, to me, why taking one thing for a multifactorial problem is rarely the solution to that problem although it may resolve it for a time.

As much harder as it is to do the wellnes things and EFAs for permanent cure of acne, than taking B5 alone, it is what you must do.

Let us know how you do. If the urticaria does not disappear, within a couple of weeks after stopping it, let us know.

Walt
