Miracle Acne Cure!?!? Looks like it!

Posted by UB on November 29, 2002 at 17:55:42:

Hi guys, I have been looking on this board for about a year for a cure for acne (ihave mild "small pimple acne")maybe they have worked for you, they did not work for me as I had hoped although they did help! I therefore started going to every site I could find trying to "cure" myself and I came across this one site (sorry, forgot the site address) and it really helped me! Suprisingly, although it stings, it does not leave redness. Here's what to do. At night preferably, wash face with mild face wash or alternatively "steam" face with hot water vapours. Once done, apply this solution to the face:

Crush two garlic cloves.
Add 3-4 table spoons of aplle cider vinegar (enough to make face wash)
Let garlic soak in vinegar for 1 hour or more.
Strain liquid
Apply liquid to washed face
WARNING!!!! IT STINGS A LOT!!!!!
Leave overnight
Wash off with face wash in morning
Dab cider vinegar around face (as you would a toner)

VISIBLE RESULTS AFTER THE FIRST NIGHT (I had them anyway!)
I hope this helps a lot of people who have had no success with acne cures! Here's wishing you luck. Take care!

PS: IF ANYONE KNOWS OF ANY RISKS/SIDE AFFECTS TO THIS CURE, PLEASE POST IT, BUT I HAVE HAD ONLY POSITIVE RESULTS SO FAR!

Your treatment makes sense. Garlic is an antibacteria and antifungal agent. Vinegar is an acid. I would assume it would act like a peel and take off a layer and the garlic is there to take care of the bacteria. Interesting. How long have you used it? You said no reddness so the vinegar must not be to strong. I would urge caution on everyday use. Even though the vinegar isn't causing an immediate problem it's still an acid. Good Job!

Do you smell like garlic all night? Does your pillow stink?

A friend of mine just cuts open a garlic clove and dabs the juice on. She says in the morning they were dried up. She said yes, she does smell like garlic so it's a good thing he r husband likes the smell.

I don't think she'd care what he thought anyway--as long as the zits are gone!

I have used the treatment for only 3 days and my skin is almost totally clear except for two large spots with i am dealing with with hot compresses. This treatment seems to get rid of all small pimples! The only downside is the smell of garlic and vinegar. I am a university student so at teh moment, i have my own room and have not got other people around me to smell! In the morning, a good face wash eliminates the smell off the skin, and as soon as I wake, I open the room window and spray a deodouriser/air freshener to stop the spell. Another tip is to soak the garlic in the vinegar on a windowsill with teh window open so teh smell is not so bad! One thing that i haven't tried is soaking the garlic in milk for a couple of hours. I have been told that this will stop the garlic from smelling, but I do not know if the crushed garlic will have the same affect afterwards! Anyway, good luck to everyone, hope this information has been useful, I cannot be credited with it though because I found it on some website (but I forgot which one!). Good luck guys, take care!

Thanks, UB.

I would be interested in everyone trying this sharing their results with the rest of us.
