Accutane testimonials....

Posted by Cathy on May 11, 1999 at 20:48:17:

Like Melissa, I too, have been having a very positive experience with Accutane. I started treatment in mid-March after trying numerous OTC remedies, anti-biotics, diets: nothing prevented the cystic acne from recurring and leaving scars. I'm 24, and like many of my female friends, my acne actually got worse as I left my teen years behind. The only negative side-effects I've experienced have been dry lips (easily fixed with Chapstick), dry eyes (very briefly), and (as they note in the packaging) increased sensitivity to the sun. I simply make sure to wear sunscreen and cover myself appropriately. I feel badly for those who have tried Accutane and have had it fail, but I would encourage those who haven't tried it to give it a chance.

Hi, Cathy, et al.

The real problem with accutane is that IT FREQUENTLY DOES "WORK"! In those cases all it does is cut the wires to the door bell when the neighbor is trying to warn you that your house is on fire. The doorbell stops ringing but your house still burns down.

Once the acne is gone, the person has no further impetus to learn what would have prevented many other much more serious chronic conditions that will surely happen in the future.

Accutane CAN be wonderful so long as one doesn't stop there.

The information all of you need is right here on this BB. It is free--except for the effort you use to learn it. Ignore it at your peril!

I tried calling the 1800 publishers number but it does not exist anymore. How else could I go about buying your book.

Please reply soon

Hi, Errol.

The phone rings on that number every day, several times a day, and it is only used for book orders. Check to see if you have the right number (800) 464-7034. They tell me that (800) numbers do not cross international borders. If you are out of the country, use the FAX order method.

Also, you can send orders to me personally via FAX (850) 769-1436 & I will see that the publisher gets it.

Walt
