THIS "DR. WALT" ACNE BOARD IS CREEPY

Posted by Brennan on August 07, 1999 at 20:57:41:

I just surfered onto this acne board while looking for info on Accutane. I'd just like to say, after reading numberous posts and replies, WHY THE HELL DOES DR. WALT EVEN HAVE THIS BOARD IS ALL HE'S TRYING TO DO IS TURN PEOPLE AGAINST ACCUTANE? And Jesus Christ, you whiny bitches who complain about how much Accutane has ruined your life, haven't you ever heard of asking your pharmacist about the symptoms? Don't blame Accutane, IT IS RISKY, but people take that risk. DR WALT GO TO HELL!

It's a health board, which you're obviously too angry or ignorant to figure out for yourself. Walt is here to help people get well and stay that way by using the safest and most effective ways possible. He doesn't ask for people with acne to come here and post, they just do.

If you actually read any of Walt's posts, or took the time to understand what he is saying, you would see that he doesn't turn people away from accutane, he just wants them to be aware that there are other, safer ways to deal with acne. Acne and accutane are only two of many subjects Walt covers here, and he only answers questions for people who ask.

Why are you so angry? I hope you can find out what YOUR problem is before it causes you more damage than just your acne.

UNO: This is not acne board.
DUO: Apparently you are looking for info about ACCUTANE so you want to find more, is in't so?

Accutane is a treatment for symptoms, not solution to cause.
You need to treat the cause not symptoms!

There are two types of acnes, one is caused by hormonal puberty development period.

Another most likely is caused by intestinal fungi!

So which one you have and which one you want to treat?

Apparently you are treated by a dermatologist who do not know to much about acne treatment same as great majority of such!

Do not make bigger moron out of yourself when making such imbecilic posts!

I know my acne is caused by "hormonal puberty" as you said.

I tried a large range of products and they failed! I don't like acne and I don't want to wait my puberty go away.

I'm not stressed, I don't eat fat foods, I don't have sex relations etc etc.

I know you will say "he does not exactly what his doctor says", but I DO (always).

In this case, don't you think that accutane is the only solution?

I have money and I can pay, I want one thing(get off my acne), is it impossibel? can't man do it for me?. Medicine (chemic), actualy, can save your life from many kind of deseaes, why it can't kill a problem like acne?

I think it's fun or there is no much research in this place.

Regards,

Boy, do I know where you're coming from! How I hated my acne when I had it. I would have done almost anything to get rid of it. Fortunately, Accutane wasn't around then, so I wasn't tempted. It's best to use Accutane only as a very last resort. Have you really tried everything Dr. Stoll suggests? Dr. Karlis Ullis in a new book on testosterone suggests taking Saw Palmetto for acne. You can find his book Testosterone in any library. Saw Palmetto is so much safer than Accutane. Also, liquid DMSO from health food store (make sure it says "pharmaceutical grade" or "99.9% pure" on label) applied to pimples helps many people.

You say you don't have a high fat diet. Are you sure you get enough Essential Fatty Acids? Try buying a bottle of flax seed oil in health food store (only buy it from refrigerator and check to see that it has a recent date, keep it in refrigerator all the time at home) and use a tablespoon a day on salad or some other cold food.

Do you go for a run or get some other good exercise each day? Accutane helps 90% of people with acne, but it also has side effects. Running and flax oil and saw palmetto don't.

The book Prescription for Nutritional Healing by James F. Balch, M.D. also has a good section on acne. If you experiment a bit you may very well find a solution to your problem without subjecting yourself to unnecessary risk.

Good luck.

The only topical solution which really works for acne is:
EMGEL Topical Gel (Glaxo/Wellcome). (NDC 0173 - 0440- 02)
(ERYTHROMYCIN USP 2%) Nothing COMES CLOSE!

E X C E L E N T

Available in 50 g bottles (no substitutions).
Need Prescription!

Try it! Stay away from ACCUTANE!
It is not money but side effects from ACCUTANE are not predictable. It may screw you for life. Not worth nthe risk!

Is it HORMONAL ? who knows!

If this will not help you nothing will!
Apply every 2 hours!

Beside it, steam your face as frequently as you can to open pores! (SAUNA).

Acne may start in the intestines, and may be just the way the body get rid of unwanted matters.
May try doxycycline (stay away from tetracycline) 4 times 200 per day for at least 3 months.

Keep in mind that any theraphy has side effects, which ones are lesser?

ACNE is caused by bacteria.
