What is right for me?

Hello, My name is Paul and I am a 14 year old male. I have had mild acne for a little over 2 years. However, I developed cysts on my back, chest, and face when I was 13. I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed doxycycline and retin a to treat it. I used these for over a year. I noticed that while in the middle of my time using doxycycline/retin-a that It showed improvement for only about a month, only to get worse once again. I have stopped using doxycycline, and only use retin-a on the pimples that I have, and have started washing my face like a maniac. It has not done any improvement on my face or back (obviously) and now I don't know what to do. Is Accutane right for me? Dr. Stoll, I have read about your relaxination/diet/exercise program, and I would like to know if that is right for me since I am only 14 and most of the other people that post are 18+ it seems. If the 3 part program is right for me, where can I find out information on how to get involved with this program. Please do not post, read the archive then post back when you have learned something, because although it would seem relevent for many people, I have been reading peoples posts for the last 2 1/2 hours, so please do not post that because it does not seem like a very productive remark.
Thanks a million,
Paul

you can start now and you won't be sitting her on the Internet with a lifetime of bad health behind you like the rest of us.

14, that's plenty old to start. I'd start my kids out at birth with the whole program. you're lucky kid.

When you said Dr. Stoll, I have read about your relaxination/diet/exercise program, and I would like to know if that is right for me since I am only 14 and most of the other people that post are 18+ it seems.

That's the part I was answering.

The next question, If the 3 part program is right for me, where can I find out information on how to get involved with this program. That's all in the archives, but you said you read those - or just the current boards?

Did you read a out the three legged stool, with whole foods diet, aerobic excersise, and skilled relaxation? That's the program. You can start with one and add the rest, or do a little with all of them at once, it's up to you.

If I were 14 I'd go on the blood type diet, but not everybody on this board agrees with that, but it's the quickest for results and very individual. You can do aerobic exercise, you probalby know what that is. Skilled relaxation is where you do it twice a day and have yourself tested to see if you get into the right brain wave rate.

That's it. About acne, he'd say your'e better off getting to the causes so you won't have to take drugs for the symtoms. The causes are your hormones when you became adolescnet overloaded your elimination becuase you had too much stresses around, chemical or emotional whatever, and your pituitary adrenal hypothalamus systme is in fight or flight all the time. You've got to be able to get rid of those stress hormones.

Ok?

If i were you,

Great, like the others have said that you have a good opportunity now; The only thing i would add at this time is you might want to look at these areas first in the diet department; Chocolate [killing for skin] and the soda's and cut way back on any sugar intake; These area's is what i would look at first, with any one i was working with skin problems especially. Next is to eliminate, and see what happens. Off all for at least 3 weeks;

Hi, Paul.

The wellness approach is IDEAL for someone your age IF they will do it. All of the information you would need to learn how to do it is on this 'site. If you will look at the wellness article on the homepage you will see a free protocol you can get by sending me a SASE with your request.

Walt
