Robin, I am about to go on accutane myself. My dermatologist told me that after I took it that my skin wouls be nearly rid of acne for several year like you have said. But he also said that I would still need to take care of my skin (washing with acne cleanser once a day, eating a balnced diet, and drinking lots of water) to prevent them from coming back after those years. I guess what I am asking is that...did you do that? Or did you just not take care of your skin? Im am interested to know.

Honestly Gina, I don't think that is enough. I did take care of my skin, drink a lot of water and ate what I thought at the time to be the "right" diet (lowfat). At the risk of sounding like to good doctor, which is not a bad thing, I think that the only way to REALLY take care of it is the Skilled Relaxation, which of course will be complemented by the "right" diet which I know now to be a whole foods diet that is right for my personal metabolism. There REALLY is no magic "pill". I personally would not take accutane again and if I could go back I would change it.
