l-carnitine

Posted by randy on September 01, 2001 at 04:54:51:

Dr. Stoll,

I received your book about 2 months ago and agree with what you say. I am one of the people who took accutane for my acne and ended up with other symptoms to replace the acne.I am presently practising skilled relaxation, doing aerobic exercise and trying to eat well. I am definitely someone who is in a constant fight or flight mode. The reason I am writing to you is that I posted a message 3 months back about my symptoms and someone suggested trying l-carnitine.It has eliminated some of my most disturbing symptoms. It cleared my head (i was in a constant brain fog, and taken away my eye soreness). I recently went away for a few days and forget to take it with me and all the symptoms came back again after a month without any.L-carnitine has virtually saved my life so that I can feel almost normal again. I am so thankful to the person on your board who suggested this. Can you tell me what you know about this amino acid. Do I need to take this forever or is their an underlying physiological problem that I should be working on correcting ? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks again for your book and your bulletin board.
Randy

Thanks, Randy.

I have no experience with l-carnitine. Sometimes I am the learner on this BB.

If you can use the search engine you may be able to find who posted the information. If I was smart, I would have posted it to the archives. I would be interested in hearing of anyone else's experience with this substance.

Your wellness program is the most certain to give you long term results & you have not been doing that long enough to have many benefits yet.

Let us know how you do and what you learn.

Walt
