After using a lot of product and see no result i ended up going and buying proactive solution. but please listen to me this product was the worsest product that i have used since i suffered from acne when i was 15 years old and so now i m eighteen my face looks so bad i can't even go out and is getting worser and worser day after day. when i started to use proactive my skin get so dried out that i was not even able to smile or eat something and the most imporatnt thing was eventhough myb skin was so dry but i was still getting breakout oon my face so afte three weeks of using this stupid product i returned the whole package to the company. i experienced my face got worser rather than get better, and the last thing i want to mention is everyday that i used this my whole face was totally red that my friends were so surprised of seeing me with terrrible look. so please if anybody know anyway that i can get rid of this please email me, because this problem caussing you to not go anywhere, to school, parties and a lot of places that you want to look in the people's face.

proactive solution also caused my face to bleed because of too much dryness and strong chemical solution. pleases don't use it.

i tried proactiv in january of this year and that was the worst thing i ever tired for acne!! i experienced some of the same symptoms as you did. my face got irratated and dry. the facial peel burned my face. it left parts of my face red like a rash. also my acne became so bad i didnt want to go anywhere. i'm 19 i started using clindamycin when i was 16 for my acne and that worked wonders i was on that for about 2 yrs then i decided to take myself off since i didnt have any acne, so i tried neutrogena that worked for a couple of months then i tried proactiv......i dont suggest anyone use this product. i went to see my dr. and now i'm back on my clindamycin (topical) and i've been on it for 1 month and my face is clear no pimples or break-outs i'm just waiting for the marks to go away, but hey if your stuck with those bad pimples first i want to suggest stop using that proactiv immediatley. ask ur dr about clindamycin soulution topical. hope i helped take care.

I just wanted to say that I tried this product also and I had a problem with the step 2 liquid stuff (must have been allergic to one of its ingredients because it burned and itched terribly) BUT I loved the wash and the lotion. Wash and lotion both contain benzoyle peroxide, too harsh for some people's skin maybe but it does not cause any irritation at all for me (and I'm sure there are thousands others who tolerate it as well as I do).

Instead of going to the expense of ProActiv, I make my own solution now by mixing Oil of Olay moisturizer with Neutrogena benzoyle peroxide acne cream and applying this over my entire face and neck twice a day. With good results!

Anyway, remember we are all different. What doesn't work for you may work for others!

Hi, sepidah.

You have forgotten the basic rule that chronic conditions respond to what you DO instead of what you TAKE.

It continues to be amazing to me how hard it is for people to accept that. AMA brainwashing I guess.

My kids tried it and it just hasn't helped, plus it's hard to cancel!
Boy are you having a rough time. I think it might help to do some of the things Dr. Stoll recommends for everyone, like not eating sugar or caffine at all, drinking 8 glasses of water a day, and Skilled Relaxation (you can find information in the archives). As a teenager you have a lot of things going on in your life and body, and Skilled Relaxation can help them all. People say that being a teenager is supposed to be this great happy time in your life, but that's not true. It's a very hard time for everyone. Hang in there, Girlfriend. A bright future is waiting for you.
