Funny feeling in lungs

Posted by Amelia on August 08, 2002 at 12:32:27:

This summer I've had a funny thing happen in my lungs.
Actually I've had it before, several years ago, but I guess
I'm just worried about it now. I have lots of post nasal
drip, and it seems to get into my lungs and make me cough.
The bothersome thing, however, is that my lungs often feel
itchy and when I exhale, I reach this point where it feels
like there's no resistence. I don't know if I'm describing
this right. It feels like when my lungs are almost out of
air that my diaphragm is pushing on felt or flannel and I
have to force the rest of the air out. Is this crazy or
what? I went to the dr. one time for this and had to exhale
into a tube. The dr. wasn't too concerned I guess because
she gave me Claritin and said it was an allergy thing. It
just is worrisome because I never had this as a kid or
anything. I don't take the Claritin right now. SHould I?
Does this sound like an alergy or asthma or something? I
just worry about lung cancer. I don't smoke, and I live in a
high elevation. I'm almost 50

I'm an ecological kinesiologist [intuitive] not a doctor;
I since that you first need to move thru some emotional stuff that, perhaps you take on others drama ect. Talk some things out with a solution person;
I also since you need to cut down on your oils and fats and mostly steam foods for now.
Off all Dairy, completely;
Only eat sprouted Wheat;
A good breath session would help you greatly with someone, to bad i'm not there, i would put you on the table and rub your lympthatics on chest and have you blow out and help you clean out; I think you are locked up a bit in your back, back of your lungs; Consider deep massage;

Hi, Amelia.

Listen to Terri-Lynn.

There is no doubt that this is allergy and in that your doc is right. Of course, the real question is WHY the allergy.

To eliminate the problem you are going to have to understand that "WHY" and eliminate it. See the archives about allergy and about LGS.

My next comment is about one of the problems with today's medicine: All research shows that none of the antihistamines promoted so heavily (Claritin) on the TV are half as effective as old time benadryl which is so safe and effective that it is available OTC for less than 100th of the cost of the promopted ones (if you read the label and get the generic "dyphenhydramine").

Let us know how you do and what you learn.

Walt
