Allergies

Posted by Myeika on October 16, 1998 at 15:58:52:

Hi.
I was found to be allergic to Cows milk 4 months ago, I had been diagnosed with ME in 1990, and told I had suffered with it all my life. Only to find out that all it infact was, was milk. I also find if I take any sort of sugar, jam, honey etc I have very bad symptoms. I have asked about this and my gp says that you can not be allergic to sugar. So what is it then? any thoughts?
Because my immune system was under constant attack I still have a wart virus which is running through my body, they keep comming up all over. Any thoughts on what I could do to help this?

Blessings

Myeika

Dear Myieka,

We have discussed this for years right here on this BB. You might take a look at the archives.

Also, your intentionally ignorant doc is right so far as he understands. It IS impossible for one to be allergic to sugar. People only become allergic to proteins (there is a perfectly understood reason for that among immunologists).

However, there IS such a thing as an addiction to sugar which IS what causes these symptoms. There are dozens of people on this BB right now who know what I am talking about and your doc doesn't have a clue. Maybe it is time to find someone who knows about modern medical physiology.

Start by going to the FAQ page for this 'site and read about "Sugar vs Refined Carbohydrates". Then about "Sugar & Immunity" and then about "Stress & Immunity". By that time you should start beginning to wonder.

Finally, you would benefit from reading a copy of my book and THEN looking at the bibliography in the back for other things to bring your understanding up to where you can begin to protect yourself from your present "physician".

Let us know if you have more questions.

Walt

Many thanks for your response.
I will have a look at the things you suggested, and if I have more questions I will get back to you.

Many thanks

My skin on my hands has been "eaten" off by something I came in contact with. My Dr. said I am allergic to water.
Another Dr. treated me for chemical burns. nothing we have tried seems to stop the skin from peeling. the pain is almost unbearable. I have lost the use of my hands as they are sore and tender. Have you ever heard of something like this?

Dear Kandy,

This has classically been termed "housewives dermatitis". it is technically a terminal stage of contact dermatitis in which the skin has lost its protective function and EVERYTHING causes a reaction. You can look it up in the library. This is one of the things that requires conventional AND alternative approaches to resolve.

There is a specific way to regain that function and to clear up the rash at the same time but the physician you are paying has to be willing to take the time to describe it fully to you AND you are going to have to be willing to do it.

You can clear up the rash in a few weeks but it will take you at least 6 months to regain the protective function. If your doc is not willing to carefully describe this to you (into a tape recorder so you can replay it till YOU are the expert), you are going to the wrong doc.

The solution is onerous but still the only one we know will always work. In the meantime, to keep this from happening again, you need to become a card carrying practitioner of serious wellness (which is described on this BB). Since it will take you 6-12 months to reach the state of total wellness, the timing is about right with what you will have to do to resolve your immediate problem.

Walt
