Ear pressure

Posted by TONYA on May 09, 2003 at 09:51:13:

Hi, My husband started complaining yesterday that he was having a hard time hearing from his ears, one worse than the other. He also said it felt like there was pressure. They do not seem to hurt though. He had this problem a while back and nothing the doctor prescribed worked and he has tried a cleaning kit. He is pretty healthy other than that, age is 27.
I am looking for an over the counter medicine or alternative medicine such as herbs, vitamins, at home remadies?
Any suggestions would be great, the complaining must stop! :)

Hi, Tonya.

First he needs to have his ears looked at by a professional who cares enough to take his complaints seriously. If, as is most likely, this is blockage of his eustacian tubes, the most common cause is allergy (dairy most common) and the next most common is TMJ. Of course these causes CAN be combined.

Let us know what he learns and we can help guide him through it's resolution.

Walt
