what does fungus on the skin look like?

Is it dry and scaling? I am getting this in navel area, probably because I've over cleaned. Is garlic oil or olive oil a good treatment for fungus? Thanks.

Hi, Jim.

Navel is almost certainly fungus and most OTC antifungal creams will cure it if used at least twice a day for 4 weeks.

Since candida is the most common fungus and tinea cruris is the second most common, you could read up on those two.

Insufficient buffing, every time you take a bath, is a very comon contributing factor and if this is a recurrent problem diabetes should be ruled out (see the diabetes archives for the proper test).

Walt
