Hi,
I got to this cool web site while trying to find something for jock-itch. I was wondering if I could use vinegar to treat this jock-itch infectio ... I tried to find an article but could not find one, so I decided to post it. I told my friend about the vinegar solution to toenail fungus and after a good laugh (he could not believe the solution was so simple) he has started the treatment. Well, thanks for a lot to the good people that work on this site and hope to get some replies. Thanks all!

Hi, John.
First, you have to appreciate how this happens. That has to do with the fact that fungi only live on dead things.
SO, the way it gets started is by the person not understanding that towels and washcloths are not terry cloth just to facilitate drying but to help abrade off dead skin during bathing and drying off afterward. Your skin, especially in the creases, has to be rubbed dry.
However, now that your fungus has escaped from control it also is infecting NEARLY dead skin. SO, just changing your habits will not resolve it. You will need both changing your habits AND some kind of topical antifungal for at least a month while your skin replaces itself.
To keep this from ever happening again, you will need to persist in your changed habits for washing and drying.
ANY topical, over the counter, antifungal will work--used as directed.
Let us know how you do.
Walt
