Mary, you should start reading the archives on the thyroid.
There is a very informative website on synthroid if you put "Mary Shomon" in your websearch. But, better yet, your boyfriend should, since HE will have to do the work himself.

The boyfriend might not be able to "do his homework for humself" right now if he's seriously hypothyroid (sounds like it) from that useless bullshit drug synthroid. He needs all the help he can get now. When you're that hypothyroid (sugar carvings, exhaustion) it's like being narcoleptic. How is he supposed to research in such a state?

Hi, Steve.

You are right, of course! However, since no one else CAN do it, one has to work with what is there.

Hi, Mary.

Listen to Sally (Thanks, Sally.) Sick people do not make good decisions so, it may be impossible for your boyfriend to do what is needed. In the meantime, his prescribing doc has to take responsibility for what is happening.

Let us know how he does IF he is willing to discipline himself to do what is in the archives about thyroid conditions.

Steve, I've been on synthroid for six miserable years. Thank goodness I have found Dr. Stoll, and of course I didn't mean for his girlfriend not to assist any way she can. I have been checking out Dr. Lowe's website since he really speaks to the synthroid resistance problem. He recommends a T-3 drug instead and I am trying to find an endocrinologist who knows something about it. Synthroid is just another drug company pushing its wares and doctors following with blinders on.

Walt, thanks for that. Just want to say that lately you have been getting the praise you richly deserve and it is good to see after that onslaught of the last month or so. Still appreciate your many thoughtful and supportive words to the poor, suffering patients of the monopoly out there. One of these days though, "No resident will say, 'I am sick'." Book of Isaiah

Thanks, Sally.

It is too bad that the very profession we have tasked with helping us with our health is now the one that is blocking our progress towards that end. That, after all we have given the profession: money and power. They still want more.

Namaste`
