Hi SHAPE,
Do you have any theories on what causes interstitial cystitis? Do you have an recommendations on what someone suffering with this problem can do to alleviate/elimiate their symptoms?
I have not been official diagnosed with IC by a urologist (cystoscopy and hydrodistension) but I have the classic symptoms, all which exist in the absence of bacterial infection. I do not want to undergo the above treatments because I am afraid of the trauma they may cause to my bladder and other organs. Do you have an opinion on cystoscopies, i.e., whether they are necessary to classify this type of condition?
Thank you, SHAPE.

Hi Gina - From working with others, including my wife unexplained cystitis problems, it's my opinion that internal cystitis is caused by the following health problems 1) a fungal overgrowth 2) a congested and toxic liver and gallbladder and 3) consuming a diet of "Acid" foods and beverages like meat, breads, pasta and drinking coffee, milk, soda pop, OJ and tea. Your congested/blocked gallbladder is your major health problem!!!! If you eliminated these three health risk, your internal body would stop producing this cystitis. * S.H.A.P.E. *

Shape- altho this was not MY question you responded to,
I find your comments very interesting, and I totally agree with you about diet ( i too, suffered from IC symptoms, but never got a diagnosis because I became pregnant-neg cultures with infection symptoms-some infections too) I have changed my diet and now eat a whole foods diet and check my ph daily-I have been great for 2 months now!Not sure if it is because of the PGcy or my diet change, but I don't want it to come back! ( Also doing SR.) I found it interesting you mention gallbladder-I had gallbladder probs a few yrs ago, but they have not bothered me for a long time.I never did anything for it, just stopped eating fatty foods. Also, you mention fungal overgrowth-How do you recommend elimination of this overgrowth? How is your wifes bladder condition? THANKS SHAPE!

Hi Amanda - If you were having gallbladder problems, trust me when I say, you still do have gallbladder problems. Stopping the fatty foods has eliminated your unpleasent symptoms but your gallbladder is still full of sandy looking waste matter, that's interfering with the many important function that liver and gallbladder perform every minute of your life. I didn't know about the many symptoms that a congested and toxic liver and gallbladder could exhibit when my wife was experiencing her symptoms. Therefore, she listened to the doctor and had her gallbladder removed. After removal, most of her symptoms disappeared but she still has problems with fatty foods and she still had to perform the liver flushes to eliminate all the stone that were still in her liver. The best way to reverse a fungal ovewrgrowth problem is to 1) detox your intestinal tract and colon with herbal colon cleansing products, like Chomper and Psyllium Husk Powder 2) eliminate red meat, breads, pasta, sugar products, grains, etc. and drink only water in order to stop "Feeding" the yeast/fungus 3) start eating all the garlic and onions(natural anti-fungal herbs) that you can hold, which will change your internal terrain (environment) so that the fungus/parasites do not want to exit there anymore and 4) perform a liver/gallbladder flush/flushes to eliminate the stone/parasites that have collected there. * S.H.A.P.E. *

Thanks shape! I totally agree with you that the problem is still there- I did not want to have my gallbladder removed-as they could not find any stones on the ultrasound-Dr figured it may be overactive gallbladder.I did not want to get rid of any organs unless it was life or death type situation.. anyway, I suppose it is safe to say I should not do anything like a flush or detox until after I deliver the baby? I am 18 weeks along. i have been drinking only water for 2 months now, and have eliminated red meat, breads, pasta, sugar products, grains almost totally. ( have had pasta (wheat) ) anything more I should do until I have the baby? What about probiotics? I do take them once in awhile. I do appriciate your help very much, and thank you!

Amanda - You are right, do not perform the liver flush until after your little angel is born!!!! Be sure to keep your bowels moving two to three times everyday so toxic waste is not reabsorbing into your system. To accomplish this, eat fruit for dinner and drink two glasses of warm water first thing in the morning as well as 6 more glasses throughout the day. This helps with elimination and reverses the dehydration that takes place overnight. Most mother have the problem of not realizing that they have a yeast/candida problem, which "WILL" affect the baby's health, unless a C-Section is performed. Therefore, I would "HIGHLY" suggest that you consume lots of garlic and onion, while carrying the baby. These are both natural anti-fungal herbs that will not hurt the baby! There's an excellent water additive that will supply your body with minerals, which is called "Crystal Energy". I would suggest that you start adding 20 drops to one gallon of spring water and drinking it everyday. To order phone: 1-866-506-3424 - cost $22.00. Minerals are "MUCH" more important than vitamins are. You get vitamins from your foods, however, minerals are no longer in our foods so you desperately need to take all the mineral supplements that you can, including Coral Calcium with Magnesium! Start now "Talking" to your little angel and tell him/her how much you "Want" and "Love" them everyday because they hear you and need to know that they are wanted and loved!!!!!!!!!!! * S.H.A.P.E. *

SHAPE, isn't coral calcium basically calcium carbonate?

CT - That's a very good question. All I know about coral calcium is that it has a very high alkaline content that supplement to take if you PH leans towards acid. Check your PH level with testing tape to know if your internal body is in an acid condition, which leads to cancer.

SHAPE, what about the FDA warning on CHOMPER? They made it sound like potentially dangerous stuff to take. Why aren't you concerned with their views on this product?
Thanks, as always.

THanks so much! I will take your advice and follow it! I do take coral calcium and magnesium and have been since I was about 8 weeks along. I have been testing my PH for about a little over a month and have not been acid for about 3 weeks now! I was always totally acid when I started. I want my baby and I to be as healthy as possible-and believe me, this baby is definetly wanted and loved already by myself, my hubby and my other 2 kids who are anxiously awaiting his/her arrival :0) I will start the warm water in the morning today and the fruit tonight. Thanks again! I just want this bladder condition to continue to stay away, even when I am over the pregnancy! I will do a flush when I am able after the baby is born. My chiropractor has one he recommends.

Having had IC and resolved it using Dr. Stoll's approach, I would say that shouldn't overlook the effects of muscle bracing on causing IC.
That's not to say that this is the case for everyone, but if you show signs of bracing, look there too.
