excema and food allergy

Please help us regarding our 2 year old daughter and her food allergy/excema. We have been to so many dermatologists who just give us a new cream to try, we then discovered our daughter is allergic to white soft parraffin that is found in most creams. We were given other creams that did not contain white soft parraffin but our child has started to have reactions to these as well. On top of all this our daughter had a blood test to determine what she was allergic to and we discovered she has a food allergy against wheat and eggs. The strange thing is if we even cook eggs in the house while our daughter is in another room she comes up in a nettle rash !!!. We are desperate to find a cure for her problems as she itches terrible and none of the creams on the market are suitable for her.our latest dermatologist is not the most helpful person in the world and no matter how firm we are with him he just reaches for his prescription pad and writes us another waste of cream out. This is the 3rd dermatologist we have seen who seems pretty much stuck on what to do next. The last potion we were given for our daughter was called 'pure paraffin' which again has an allergic reaction on our daughter.......any help please ?

Hi Ian.

Sounds to me like you should stop going to dermatologists.

It also sounds like allergies should be giving you a clue as to what might be the problem.

If I were you I would start learning and studying about diet and food hypersensitivities. Learning about the elimination diet would be a good thing to do, you can use it to find out all the foods that your daughter might be having reactions to.

Hypersensitivities don't always show up in allergy testing so you may find out that she has trouble with other foods or substances.

She might also be having a problem with other substances, such as chemicals, in your home. Time to be a detective!

I hope you have a prohibition against bringing eggs in the house since it causes her to have a reaction.

Best wishes,
Happygal

Hi, Ian.

In my opinion, the only way dermatologists can get away with this shoddy kind of practice is because they are protected by the allopathic monopoly in this country.

Start by learning about multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) since I am afraid she may be falling over the edge into this condition. See the archives.

Find a good Clinical Ecologist and get copies of all her medical records in your home. Next, while you are doing that, learn as much as you can about LGS and C-RS. See the glossary for any unfamiliar terms and then the archives till you begin to understand what is going on.

Let us know what you learn & how she does.

Walt
