Parrish-Bueno test?

Has anyone heard of the Parrish-Bueno test for parasites or know of where I can go to get one? It was described on one of the strands in the archives. It is supposedly very accurate.

Also, about parasites and raw food...I also read that even washing fruits and veggies does not eliminate 100% of the parasites...is this true? Does peeling a fruit or veggie?

I understand that leaky gut is really the culprit...that we cannot avoid the organisms as they are everywhere. I am asking because I was doing an all-raw foods program and now I am really sick. I couldn't really believe that all raw could be that bad...now I am starting to think I ingested a huge dose of parasites which loved my leaky gut environment...didn't know it was that leaky.

Frustrating....started doing the all raw foods to feel better..wasn't feeling that bad but decided to do a 3 month cleanse and now I am really not well...

Michelle,

Until you asked about this test, I hadn't heard of it. Following are soem websites which you can review for information. Don't know where to get one, and not certain I'd really want one at this point.

Good luck and let us know.

Hi, Michelle.

Even, canned foods have some parasites in them. Mainly the ones that can encyst themselves: amebiasis and the like. Even frozen ones (normally the healthiest so far as micronutrients are concerned) have parasite eggs.

Fresh have the most and even the CDC admits that 50% of the fresh produce workers in groceries have more than 3 active parasites themselves.

Thorough washing is helpful but not foolproof. Peeling also helps a little but frequently this converts a food from a whole food to a partially refined one.

A healthy gut is the best by far. You may have picked up a parasite(s) by exposing your LGS to a heavy dose before it was ready to handle it.

Sending a few purged stool samples to GSCL would be your best bet for further treatment.

Let us know how you do.

Walt
