Hi!
I'm researching head lice and pinworms right now to provide our public school with some information for parents.
I have recently heard that hair gel works just as well as mayonaise or oil and is much easier to wash out.
(they say dippety doo but any hair gel will work)
Good luck!
Anyone with additional info is quite welcome to e me. Any help would be appreciated!
Also when I am finished I will be posting it to my website. All are welcome to provide it to their schools if you think it will help.
Thanks,
Rowyn

Check out the search engine "Google", it's GREAT! I just did a quick search for you and you'll find close to 15,000 sites!

I have nothing to say about Google either way, but I Never want to get 15,000 sites back from any search engine!
My search engine preference is for Inference Find (linked below). It calls out in parallel the 6 best search engines on the internet (WebCrawler, Yahoo, Lycos, Alta Vista, InfoSeek, and Excite), merges the results, removes redundancies, and clusters the results into neat understandable groupings. And it is FAST!
My experience with it is that if I don't find exactly what I'm looking for in what it gives me back, then I've either used a waaaaay inappropriate keyword, or the information is really tough to find on the web. And it never gives me back more than 50-100 hits, which is still more than I would ever look at individually.
Hope this helps!

Yes, Tried all of those search engines you provided, Google is without a doubt the best there us right now... Read PC Magazines review of January 2000 websearch engines, Google came in #01 because they are not only the FASTEST, but without a doubt provide the ultimate best results. For the purpose that this person wanted this information (to do a report) she won't find a better site than Google. Don't wish to argue, but I like my search engines smart and fast. Kinda like I like my dates! Amanda

Thanks, Rowyn.
I hope you will repost your website when you have this ready.
What you have mentioned here is a great alternative list of things to treat this without insecticide exposure.
I would add one thing, though, that you have not mentioned here.
Conventional thinking is still stalled on treating this problem AFTER it is diagnosed as being present. MY specialty is in increasing the person's resistance so they could walk through the "valley of a room-full of kids with lice" and never "get" them.
Wellness; a whole foods diet, regular sustained exercise, etc. The same lifestyle would prevent other illnesses and improve their school performance at the same time.
