Hi, My Name is pete and I have had boughts of candidiasis off and on over the last 5 years. I was diagnosed with non chronic Hep B 5 years ago. During that time my doctor told me that I needed hiv testing because that is what happens to almost all hep b patients. I am a maried guy who is 38 yrs old and not a drug user or anything like that. I freaked out when I was told this and went through months of agony worrying about it while waiting for results that told me I was negative. Afew months later I got sick. Really sick and went to my doctor who told me it was stress related IBS. (irratable bowel syndrome) I did some research on my own and discovered info on candidaisis and when I treated my symptoms as such they seemed to go away. Since then I have had several kidney stones and my gall blatter removed. I recieved a short but heavy dose of anti biotics last year and it came raging back. (amoxicyllin and cyproflaxin 1000 mlgs once a day for three weeks) After treating the infection again I got better and all seemed well until a month ago when it came back. I had been talking the pain Killer Vicodan for about 4 1/2 months up to 12 a day for the pain caused by kidney stones. During this time I would occasionally become nasious but chalked it off to the drug. I have been to my doctor and they have run the usual blood tests and say "you look fine, all tests are normal". Q. 1,Is it possible that I have never gotten rid of this infection and that is why it has come back? 2,Is it possible that I am getting reinfected as a result of destroying my "good digestive ensymes by the long term use of those pain killers? and 3 is it possible that I should look into "other infections" event though my blood work looks perfectly normal? I have really tried to get these questions answered elsewere but have had no luck. Thanks for your response and a very informative website. Pete P.S. I have read something on Apple Cider Vinegar and how it is beneficial in the treatment of candia. I thought that all cider was forbiden. Any isight would be very helpfull.

Hi, Peter.
Apple Cider Vinegar is OK with candida.
Your history reads like an indictment of the failings of conventional medicine: A total failure to look beyond the immediate symptom.
There is little doubt thst you have at least 4-6 parasites (candida IS another parasite) and that they are not doing you any good. Conventional laboratories (according to the CDC) only find 1 in 50 of parasites placed in the specinmen to test the competence of the laboratory. Even this dismal failure is good enough for the lab to get a state license to look for parasites. Call Great Smokies Labs (800) 522-4762 (They find 1 in 5.) for the names of physicians close to you who would know enough to order about 5 purged stool specimens AND how to interpret the results. This would at least help you to feel better till your wellness could help you more.
Your best bet would be to stop looking for the most recent diagnosis and start a serious wellness program. At least you would be well in a year.
See the homepage and the archives about wellness. Let us know how you do.
