Dr Stoll bbon todo tops vac2 vac3 xmas about Child Birth

As I have stated before I will be trying to get pregnant sometime at the end of this year or early next year and am doing a lot of research and reading, obviously I do not take being a parent lightly. Let me also say before I ask my question that I have recently finished "Confessions of a Medical Heretic" and I am truly frightened. I wanted to get your thoughts on child birth, Dr Mendelshon (spelling???) said it is best to have the baby at home and I am VERY open to this suggestion, in fact it sounds better to me than a hospital but I wanted to know if it really is as safe as he says it is.

Also, he says that it can be dangerous to vaccinate your children. I have read some vague things about this and wanted your opinion on this also.

I wanted to thank you again for all of your help, you are truly a Godsend.

Robin

Dear Robin,

Statistically, it is nearly twice as safe to have your pregnancy monitored by a Certified Midwife (with backup by the enlightened obstetrician) and having the delivery at home by that midwife (also backed up by the enlightened obstetrician).

Find out who, in your area, has a team of midwives associated with the practice and you will likely have found the right obstetrician for you.

ALSO, remember, the least complications occur in those who are the healthiest to begin with (mother, father & baby). Read Dr Paavo Airola's classic "Every Woman's Book" ASAP so you will fall into that catagory.

Let us know what you learn and how you do.

Walt

Mendlesohn is(or was) excellent. I believe he has a book called "How to raise a healthy child in spite of your doctor". It sounds like that might be a good book for you right now.

Here is an excellent resource regarding childhood vaccinations.

Click on the bar that says: ORDER PUBLICATIONS, REPORTS, VIDEO/AUDIO TAPES, ETC. to look at the books they have. The text "VACCINES: ARE THEY REALLY SAFE AND EFFECTIVE?" is great.

If you haven't looked in the archives please do. I put some significant information there regarding vaccinations. Particularly Smallpox, Polio, Pertussis, and a little on Flu Shots.

Hi, Doc Dave.

Have you noticed that even conventional veterinarian journals are now admitting that routine vaccinations for your pet may be causing more harm that good???

If this is known to be true of animals, can humans be far behind?

Their recommendation is to at least have the vet do titres of the protection already present before just shooting them up. Only if the level of protection is low enough should they consider giving immunizations. Apparently these titres are not very costly.

Oh, no, something else to worry about when it comes to my little baby. I just found out she has a heart murmur and that about killed me. I don't think I can handle anything else being wrong with her. Does this mean I need to quit getting her vaccinated?

Yea, there are SOME vets who will readily admit that reactions are a regular part of vaccination programs but it will be a long time before the truth makes it from the journals down to the rural vet who graduated years ago. Imagine what % of the income of a vet is due to vaccinations. At least there has been a START.

Unfortunately there is a similar situation in medicine and human vaccinations. The real difference is that journals don't seem to want to print the latest information. Once again, vaccinations mean big business and nobody wants to mention the thousands(15,000 if I remember correctly) of reaction reports that have made their way to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) just with the introduction of the Hep B vaccine. Sadly, the JAMA estimates that only 10% are ever reported.

Up to 17 percent of all hepatitis B vaccinations are followed by reports of fatigue and weakness, headache, arthritis and fever of more than 100 F.. (3) The vaccine can cause death, according to a 1994 Institute of Medicine report. (4)

The decision to vaccinate is a personal choice and no one but you can make that decision.

Here are two excellent places to look at information regarding risks.

One of my cats came this close | | to being killed by his last multi-vaccine shot. He was one sick kitty. Both cats have either permanent hair loss or hair discoloring on their backs from vaccines. Seeing as how they are both indoor cats, I say, "Never again."
