Candida is one of the least understood causes of infertility, miscarriages and pregnancy problems. There is such a close relationship that we were taught in medical school (40 years ago) that there was no point trying to cure a candida vaginitis during pregnancy. It could be treated but not cured.
If I were to do the pregnancy thing again, I would follow (and see that my wife followed) the information in "Every Woman's Book" for 2 years prior to conception and then we would not have to worry about pregnancy complications.
