sebaceous cyst...removed 7 times in two years.....

Well, after reading this board I have found some hope. I have had the same cyst removed 7 times, by an army doctor. He tried antibiotics and hot compresses, but no results. I have purchased some flax seed oil softgels. And, hope they may help. I am going to see my primary care Dr. on the 7th of this month. And, demanding he send me to a dermatologist(spelling?).
I hope that seeing a Dr. that deals only with skin related problems will give me a better chance at results. Also, I hope there is a way to deminish the scar. It is almost 3 inches long and 3/4 inch wide, very dark and pretty deep. It sits right along my panty line at the very top of my inner thigh.
Do you think there is any hope for my situation?
Thanks,
Tammy

find out what is in the cyst
PCB's I bet.
stop putting them in your body and your body will stop clumping them together as little dump sites.

joe - what are "PCB's"???? (thanks - nmi)

Hi, Tammy.

Since it was not removed correctly the first time it is VERY difficult to get it all on subsequent tries. ALSO, surgery always cuts the ducts to the adjacent glands and tends to cause THEM to be obstructed as well.

Removal of a blocked sebaceous gland LOOKS like a very simple procedure to most docs who have no idea that is going on. IF it is not removed intact the first time patients run the risk of what you have experienced.

Partially blocked ducts can be compensated for by making the sebum runnier with the essential oils described on the homepage.

Hope this helps.

Walt
