I heard on my way in to work today that government sources said that there will be an attack in the US in the near future. The government sources said they are 100% certain that the attack will happen soon and that the terrorists will use a dirty bomb. Who ARE these intelligence sources? Have you all heard this information out there in the rest of the country?
Geesh, what's person to do to protect themselves from a dirty bomb? Here around DC, plastic sheeting is sold out of the hardware stores .... the bottled water shelves are empty. I haven't done a thing to prepare for an attack.
I might not have to worry about, Candida or LGS for much longer, I may have to deal with radiation sickness or thyroid cancer. On the positive note. I'll have loads of time for SR if I'm holed up in my duct tape sealed, upper floor bathroom, or the basemet! I almost wish I'd gotten my hands on some cyanide powder to end my existance quickly, rather than suffer through the terror of dying slowly of suffication, radiation sickness, or nerve agents.
The situation in our country today is so sad...

Welcome to the insecurities of the real world that people in many countries precariously live through daily.
Whether the powers-that-be are just jerking us around to make us compliant with their police state initiatives, or whether they, the Israeli ruling fascists or other terrorists might actually do the deed, is a toss-up.
Just making us paranoid and pessimistic serves all of their purposes just fine.
The only anecdote to the poison is active optimism. Get off of your ass and go do something about it! Make your life and death have some meaning to the world. Cringing in your basement is a sorry way to exit from the world.

Forgive me for making fun or light of this. Maybe I need to read the info better.
I remember in 3rd grade we had drills to get under our little desks in case of nuclear bombs. Can a little wooden desk stop a nuclear bomb?
I just don't understand how plastic over our windows is going to really help protect us from chemical or nuclear or whatever. Guess I need to read up on current affairs ... sorry. Just too busy with life to pay attention.

You ask "what's a person to do to protect themselves". Isn't this why we're paying Billions in taxes? I hope no one is "pocketing" this money. It's supposed to be used to protect us. Demand to be protected or demand your money back.

i am pretty sure the govt is making good use of our taxes and doing what it can. theres no way to protect everyone 24/7. i too have been having mini anxiety attacks about this situation. guess they are winning at keeping us on edge.

we're still trying to catch him of course. Sadam may be harboring him - that was one of the tenets of our war on terrorism, too - that any one who harbors a terrorist is as good as one themself...everyone was on board wit that back then, now it's all wait and see. I am quite enjoying these informative posts of yours. You have a nice "energy" about you.
Ok, here goes my thoughts on it.
I dont know! lol
But what I do think is that this war is for the wrong reasons. From what I have read and heard it seems North Korea is more of a worry than ole Saddamee! Or "so damn insane", as he is more comically referred to around my parts. :)
I dont think we know the full picture of this possible war as far as all the details involved, maybe thats the big push to go to war and its not just about oil. I
I am not a political person at all though. All this politics is over my head! I am more a metaphysical, creative, non technical, non analytical kinda person. Just a simple person at heart! :)
I love Jesus, I love God, and I am going to pray that everything works out for the highest good of everyone. That we can all realize that truth,light, and love for all man and goodness is what counts in this world.
But this is a violent world. And maybe war will stop this madman saddam. But then there are other mad men (leaders) in this world that needed to be dealt with. If it wasnt for America getting involved to stop the holocaust who knows what else may have happen. The horrors of that war were bad enough! And I pray that such atrocities are never repeated.
You know, DC, it scares me the violence that has/does occur in this world. It truly scares me how people can become so vicious and unfeeling for other human beings sufferings.
I see insensitivity to others pain, even here on the board. And makes me wonder how people can become so unfeeling and uncaring. Dont get me wrong, there are some VERY good people here on the board, just every now and then, a few comments that make me hold my breath in wonder that they can be so cruel to others and seem to do it intentionally to hurt.
I dont know, but look how I started rambling, DC. Forgive me. :)

Let's see, we were talking about war. Well, I like you, am not politically minded; so, a lot of it goes over my head also. But, what I do know is that from a scriptural standpoint, it's just another sign of the last days. As far as to be for it or against it, I would have to look at Jesus' example and ask how would he stand. If you really peer into the bible...particularly Jesus' life and ministry...you'll notice that he did not involve himself in the affairs of the day...no matter how bleak. He knew that God's Kingdom (of which he would be King) was the solution to any and all of man's problems, and promoted this throughout his life on earth. (Matt. 24:14) Jesus said in John 18:36 that his kingdom was no part of this world. In prayer to his father in John 17:14-26 Jesus says that he is no part or the world, nor are his disciples any part of the world. Jesus always turned the other cheek to violence.
So, the bottom line is, while I'm concerned about the things taking place in the world today, as anyone would be, I'm not worried at all. The bible tells us that when the last days arrive times will be really hard; so, I look at this as a time to build my faith...for the worst is yet to come. There are many tests ahead...this is just the beginning. However, the true test is now who's side are we on: the U.S. or Iraq; rather, God or man's?
So, there you have it, Oh...
Now, tell me what you think about this recent "demonic oppression and illness" thread. (I just don't stop, do I? lol"

Nice to catch up with you again.
I love your non arrogant style. IT sure helps me want to hear what you have to say (type) etc, and I dont know how it is, but I can feel your energy.(hope that doesnt scare you off!) A very gentle energy.
I dont know whether these are the last days or not,DC. As the "last days" have been proclaimed, gosh, for as long as man has been on earth. There have been many doomsayers, and yet here we all still are. :)
I do know that our values are messed up. Look at this society. Our Values are materialism, keeping up with the Jones', sex etc. I often find life is so meaningless. And you cant rely on people, the only one you can rely on is God, Christ, and yourself to see you through the hard times and also to be there in the good times. I often thank god literally, when good things happen in my life.
I think though that we also create our own reality. Although there is karma too, we also are creators alongside God.
All we see around us is a reflection of our own inner world. The current crisis with iraq. Its a reflection of what lies inside our own hearts. Hate, malice, resentments etc. I too see this in myself, and its like fighting against a demon. Should I love this person and allow them to be who they are, or let my selfish tactics dictate my actions.
Its a battle just in our own everyday lives. Should I treat this person with kindness or malice. sometimes good wins out, DC, and sometimes not. :(
I think when we truly work on our own inner "turmoils",heartaches, etc can things on this planet really turn around, and when we start showing peace and love to our own fellow man, will this spread out to the world.
Forget all the superficialities, and not let ourselves be drawn into it. And remmber what is important and why we are here. Was it so that we could find a good job, earn good money, have a nice car, house, etc. I dont think so! Our souls have a much higher purpose, but sometimes we are so sidetracked by the glitter and glamour of the world, like baubles, trinkets at a fair holding our attention away from the important things and we all know in our hearts, what the important things are, love;unconditional love not just for ourselves, but for others too.
