For Happygal

Posted by Lauren [6.15] on March 06, 2004 at 11:47:53:

Hi. Just wanted to say thanks for recommending "The Highly Sensitive Person" to me and to update you on how I am doing. (You have responded to several of my posts in the past, I am the RN with dysautonomia).
I enjoyed the book. I had been doing everything that the book mentions is particularly challenging for HSP,I worked long hours in a high stress, noisy environment with an irregular sleep schedule and no routine in my life. Since I left my job in the hospital in December, I have been doing home health nursing and I love it. I work hard, but I make my own appointments so I am in charge of my schedule. I no longer have to wake up at 5 am and work 14 hour days :) I did not realize how sleep deprived I really was, now I regularly get 8 hours a night and it has done wonders for my health.
I regularly practice SR and I have added exercise to my routine as well. My tremors are gone, thanks to regular stretching. I think I have the bracing under control.
Thanks so much for your advice. It always has helped me knowing that it is possible to bounce back from dysautonomia, I found your posts very encouraging.
I will continue to strive towards better health, and I will let you know how I do:)
Best wishes,
Lauren
