I love this people, Dr. Stoll and people at this BB

Posted by lovebird [20.2182] on October 25, 2005 at 15:50:26:

This bulletin board has helped so many people and Dr. Stoll you are a true hero. Your purpose to teach us here, to answer us, to care, to teach us as we struggle to understand is so rare today.

I thank you for your vision.

I have come up out of one dark hole of horrible, symptomns and pain because I come here daily and read and read and learn and apply what is here daily, in the historical archives and what you say to do to get well and IT WORKS.

Hey and there is no office visit charge or co-pay. How great is that???

But what has happened to me here is I have grown to just love the people here and I delight in their letters, words, writings and fun which we all need.

Hey life is tough, hard and we need each other.

So some of us have a harder road than others. I personally can't curl up and die and be negative and miserble. I learned to stand up tall, shut up and go forward not matter how stiff I am. That's is not the worse thing on earth.

Today is my husband's day off work. We made a homemade pizza together and it is pouring down rain. Our van's radiator is heating up. A friend has it and is working on it outside for us. Last year this guy came to our door Christmas Day and left a card in the kitchen. Inside was $100 card for Walmart. We couldn't believe it.

Well today I needed a script from my doctor. Called he pharmacist and it is here right now within 30 minutes from another town. They hand delivered it to our front door. I mean I get so thankful I shout out loud.

So we just saw a mansion in Delray Beach Florida burn to the ground....

So long story short. Be thankful. People are worse off than us and Dr. Stoll we were listening to a song Hero today and the words said "they may go unnoticed but they are heroes just the same."

You are a hero.

Your life does not go unnoticed. You may be more limited but then we all are.

Thanks for bringing us together and caring enough to answer our questions and be available in an age when doctors could care less.

We all love you,
Lovebird and family

That was a beautiful text, Lovebird. You've discovered the secret of not living on "bread alone". I hope more realizations come to you and fill your soul.

Dear Lovebird,

What an inspiring note you sent to Walt and the folks on this BB. You are a Blessing... I know Walt is smiling and deeply touched by your words ... He is everything you said. It takes courage to be a visionary... a Doctor who knew there was more. I see Walt as God made him. He is on the mend and it's not the end of the story.

Thanks Lovebird...
Betty

Amanda:
You are so right. That is how we live exactly. Just waiting for someone to be nice to along the way.

A few weeks ago a teenage girl had a picture of a friend pinned to her shirt. He killed himself. Tom and I began to talk to her and encourage her and soon there were 3 friends of hers from high school listening to us tell them to stay straight and clean and dream your dreams.

Sept 18th on my birthday we went out for dinner and I said "this is a special day it's my birthday" the teenage girl hostess said "it's my birthday too." so later the whole team came out with a cake, candles and I asked my husband to take a picture of us all.

As we left we asked for the 2 girls boss and said for fun "We will not come back here if you don't give these two girls raises." Ha it was so funny The girls couldn't believe I would do it.
Later we dropped the pictures off.

Fun to do

What a great example! If everyone could do stuff like this it would make a big difference. I always try to compliment nice store clerks or to thank people for helping me in a store, ect. You never know...that boss just MIGHT HAVE given the girls a raise or at least a bonus of some sort...and just because you took the time to mention it! We never know how a kind word can really affect someone...it may change a life!

A neighbor of ours just this past summer went on a walk down the old railroad tracks not far from our house...He passed another neighbor along the way, and they both said there hello's. On the return trip from his walk, the one man found the other man had killed himself...I often wonder, if they would have chatted a bit more, would things have went differently? I know..it is what it is, but a person can't help but wonder. I always try to greet people with a smile and chat a bit.

Hi Lovebird & Family.. Bless your heart.. THE TIME IS NOW & IT IS important to :

Wow what a story

I remember being 15 and before I put my foot on the bus for high school I decided to be the one person all would remember for being kind to everyone and like your story this very unattractive, homely, lonely girl was killed on a train track on the way home from school and I knew I was always good to her.
