In all honesty, your skin is a DIRECT result of your internal environment. Proper digestion and nutrition are key to healthy skin. Anything else is simply cover-up.

You GOT the right idea - at least you didn't ask what can I PUT ON TOP OF my skin to make it look better.

Skin is a very holistic subject and must be dealt with via good food, stress reduction, exercise, and appropriate nutrients. What HY said - the internal environment - is everything.

That said,

Going low-carb whole foods gave my skin much better color

Quitting coffee, because coffee dehydrates you.

A friend from India swears by turmeric to have a beautiful skin, a tsp. twice a day. As well as it being an all around useful herb, antibacterial and antiviral.

Silica, vitamin C, rosehips, alpha-lipoic acid, Vitamin B5.

Essential fatty acids - Omega3 as fish oils.

Good luck

Hi, Bobby.

Listen to Jan & Helping You!

In addition, lots of creams are now out that have vitamin C & E in them. These potent skin antooxidents will surely help as well although the internal approach is best.

Let us know how you are doing about a year after you start the wellness approach.

Lane Labs has a product out now called TOKI. It contains hyurolonic acid which is a major building block of collagen. Perhaps even more important that glucosamine/chondroitin. The product is said to be guaranteed to improve skin tone

Another (and cheaper, I think) Hyaluronic Acid product

From Purity Products. I believe all their products come with a good money back guarantee.

I have heard the radio show for this. The product sounds intruiging although "experts" are claiming that oral versions are not effective. if that's the case, the effect would probably not be possible from food either. As lonf as there are no co-factors that are needed for absorption, it would seem that it may be similar to glucosamine in action.
