What is the vinegar treatment method? How does it work, how do you apply the vinegar, etc. I would appreciate any advice.

Linda:
First the specific answer to your question: See the link below to Walt's article: "Fungus Infections of the Feet".
Just to let you know, you could have found this yourself several ways:
Search within the current BBS discussions (further down the page) for this article and discussions about it.
From the homepage, click on FAQ, then on Articles and then on this specific article.
From almost anywhere here, click on Glossary, and then look for the link to the article (linked several places in the Glossary).
Use the search engine to search within this site for any subject of your choice, including this one.
Sorry your answer was delayed while you waited (I assume) for the BBS to open back up so you could ask your question.

Hi Linda,
Please read about the treatment...It worked for me....I had very bad fingernails as a result of fungus...My doctor told me the only cure was Lamisol which my health insurance wouldn't approve of...I found this site July 1, 1999 and started vinegar that day....I have beautifully healthy nails now and am still using the vinegar...To be honest, I'm afraid to stop even though it has been 8 months...I don't think I've missed a dose, but can't be certain...I hope Dr. Stoll reads this and convinces me it is safe to stop, but if he doesn't, I will keep up with the ritual...It take a minute or two, twice a day, and has made an amazing difference in my nails...

I started the vinegar treatment for my toenails just a little over a month ago. I haven't noticed much difference yet but I think that is to be expected since it takes nails so long to grow. Anyway, it has become a part of my normal morning and evening routines -- it really doesn't take that much time to do.
Everyone on this board seems very helpful. Read the archives for people who have done this and got rid of their fungus. I like reading them just for reassurance that I'm doing it correctly and of course its nice to hear that it has worked for others. I'm very positive it will work since I haven't seen one post where someone said it didn't. Good luck!

Hi,
Do you put the drops on the white half-moons of the nails just where they are coming out of the skin or on the skin itself or both areas? Thanks!

Thanks, Diane.
How long has it been since the last diseased part of your nail has been trimmed off? Once I know that, I can tell you if it is safe to stop.
Normally a couple of months after you THINK you have seen the last of it, it is safe to stop.
Namaste`

Hi, Sandy.
On the cuticle. The idea is for the vinegar to change the pH of the tissue where the nail is growing FROM. The amount that inevitably runs down into the cracks is all it takes.

I think about a month ago I noticed that my nails look exceptionally healthy, more than they ever did...Also noticed the tips are white now instead of yellow or clear...

Hi, Diane.
I would suggest about one more month.
