Hello,
I have been on this board many times discussing the oh so lovely topic of nail fungus. I stumbled upon this sit almost 4 years ago, and thank goodness I did. I had an infected great toenail for about 7 or 8 years. Being a woman who takes really great care of herself, it really depressed and bothered me. Actually I am certain it would bother men as well.....those nails look nasty.
Anyway, because of the way it looked, I kept covering with polish, which helped at first, but as any of you know who have had this problem long enough, the nail begins to lift and become deformed, well that was when I hit rock bottom (excuse the drama....but I was really upset)
I started the vinager protocol, and with diligence and patience began to grow a new toenail.
Even after 3and a half years the nail was never as smooth and nice as it was. My other great toenail was always bigger and pinker. I accepted it would always be that way and was greatful I had come that far.
UNTIl....I decided to get cuticle remover and push down as far as I painlessly could the cuticle on that toe. Dr. Stoll has mentioned that the vinager will find it's way through the little cracks through the cuticle....which is true, hence my nail getting better, but since I removed the cuticle, my toenail has become that much better. It is now finally after almost 4 years of treatment 100%.
So I just wanted to give that little tip that worked for me to anyone who may be getting frustrated with the same problem I had.
Maybe it's common sense, and I sound like a moron making a suggestion like that, but I never thought it made a difference. For me, it is what got me to the finish line.
Thanks again Dr. Stoll, and good luck to anyone else with the same problem.
