I need to hear from you all that know: Do compression hose slow the progression of leg vein disease(varicose veins, spider veins, ect.) either from slowing down the progression of new ones and / or slow down the development of the ones you already have?????????????

Hi, Suzanne.

Yes. At least that is the theory. The only known reason people have this problem in their legs and not in their arms is because of gravity. Support hose help take that factor out of the equation. Capice?

Hi, Suzanne.

Yeah, but it worsens the below the knee problems more than it helps the above the knee mechanisms.

I find the hose difficult to apply in comfortable, correct manner especially down on the top of foot and where it goes up leg, seems like it wants to crease up there kind of tight and I have often wondered if that could contribute to problems. Also, if top of hose aren't in the correct place might not be good? Just with hose being so tight, worry about contributing to problems instead of helping?

Hi, Suzanne.

Improperly fitted!

See the varicose veins archives where the proper procedure is described.
