Hi,
My Mom has naturally VERICOUS VEINS in right leg and due to this; doctor decided a minor operation for it. She also had 25 to 40 lbs over weight. We got all available expert opinion and every one decided an immediate operation , so in that condition operation will perform but this is going to be an major operation, the duration about ˝ hour is extended 3 to 4 hours long………she will not recover 100% form this operation and the case will gone to bad conditions, we can talk to the doctor (which held the operation) but they cant satisfy us, and in my friends(MBBS Doctors) opinion that the operation is not fulfill and doctor cannot accept the responsibility for this, also he totally refuse us for the patient current conditions……..
Again we concern the doctors in Aga Khan Hospital, In their opinion an another operation will need to fixed the current situation, but there is no guarantee to clears totally veracious veins, it may be time to time again recovered, and an plastic surgery will also be planned because the Ulcer will came in bad look, as per picture shown.………………
We will started an Homeopathic medicine last 2 months, but the situation is no change ….., there is very high pain on the veins and right now the soiling is appear on that leg,
During this operation, she have high blood pressure and due to this her kidneys will effected by NYPHROYTES, and for that doctors suggested an BIOPSY………… which we will postponed ……………….
I can go another operation for that or in medicine, her already on medicine last 6 months.
Does anyone have any suggestion that would help her vericose veins?
Your help is appreciated,
Khurram..

Hello, Kurrham -
Your situation is very sad. The main thing is to make your mother healthy again. The look of her legs isn't as important as her health. Hopefully, her new doctor will give her vitamins and good advice to get rid of her pain and help her kidneys get back to normal. She should keep her legs raised up as much as possible. I wish I could help more. I wish you the best.
Dr. Stoll will answer you soon.

Hi, Khurram.
It would have been better if your mother had had the surgery BEFORE the ulcers occurred.
Presently, I agree with the doctor that nothing can be guaranteed following the surgery. Your picture did not come through.
Listen to Raisa.
Keeping her legs elevated above her hips (just down to go to the bathroom and to take a bath) is the most important thing for her to do and losing every pound of excess weight is the second most important. Without those 2 things she will probably, eventually, have to have an amputation.
Wearing properly fitted (to the knees) support hose folowing surgery (for at least a year) is also critical.
Local treatment of the ulcer will still be necessary but if she does the above, it will probably heal in about a year.
Let us know how she does.
