GOL Perfect Food question

Posted by Mike [14213.9518] on April 25, 2011 at 01:12:11:

Has anyone taken this? I tried it a couple of years ago and I had a reaction to it. However, I hear that it's very beneficial. Instead of getting tested to find out what nutrients/vitamins you are lacking, I think it would be a lot easier to take a whole foods product that has everything in it already. Would anyone recommend this? Thanks.

I take Superfood that I buy from Unyquity on Curezone,
she has her own forum and store. It's based on Dr.
Schulze's formula. GOL is probably a good product,
though I don't know how it's price compares to others,
and I have a feeling it costs more than than what I buy
from Uny. I get a 48 oz bag for about $55. and it lasts
me about 2 months.

Sounded like a great idea in theory and looked good on
paper but I wondered if it would be OK with my body and
surprisingly I have no problem whatsoever with it, and
AAMOF, 3+ months into it, I think it's doing me a lot
of good. I take 3 TBS daily, 2 in the AM in freshly
made organic fruit & veggie juice, and again in the PM
in juice leftover from the AM. I see this as a MAJOR
breakthrough for me.

The reason I now tolerate it [not sure if it ever
caused problems for me] is because I do the WHOLE
program now and take cayenne, fresh garlic, raw honey,
IF1, IF2 [intestinal formulae], eat vegan, and do lots
of other things including regular CEs [coffee enemas].

It's, IMO, a MUCH better idea. When I feel I need a
nutrient these days, I go for an organic herb or food
that contains this nutrient. I'm a lot better balanced
that way. Yes, this is the way to homeostasis. The body
is a lot smarter than we are and I believe that taking
pills and capsules of isolated whatever is just too
stressful to the body and is IMO asking for trouble. If
I need Vit C, I eat organic oranges. When your GI tract
is clear and your organs work the way they should, they
will do a fine job of extracting nutrients from good
food, and there will be no need for pill popping at
all.

Joe, I agree, you are always better off if you can get your nutrients from raw foods.

Then you don't absorb things as well, and even though
eating animal foods may seem to help, they don't heal
you, you use them as a "band-aid" remedy, IMHO.

So do you think it's pointless then to take a whole food supplement in that case?

No. I'm not an expert but I think Superfood is a great
food source and a lot better than taking supplements,
IMHO.

So, I guess my next question is...considering it's inconcievable for me to shell out any more money for another useless alternative practioner for lab testing, do you or does anything think that taking a perfect wholefood supplement would be just as good?
Thanks again.

Mike,

Remember our adage: "Health is not something you take but something you DO." If you are doing the 3lS, except for pharmacological doses of certain nutrients, in time of crisis,, all you should need is something like GOL, IMO.

Hope this helps

Walt

IMHO the main purpose of SF is to supply protein, B
Vitamins, and lots of other nutrients to help balance a
vegetarian way of eating. It seems to work well for me.
I like SF because it's a food and I don't have to
"attempt" to balance nutrients by taking pills, reading
labels, having blood work, etc.

What is the protein source in SF, Joe? It really sounds as if it's working for you.

Superfood contains 50% non active nutritional yeast. :)
Between the SF, seeds, nuts, sprouts, low heat cooked
legumes, I feel that I'm getting more than enough
protein and eating the most nutritious diet I ever ate.

No need for animal foods, IMHO. No embryos, animal
fluids, cheese, meats, none of that stuff. :)

Thanks Doc. I AM doing the 3LS and admittedly have allowed stress to take over my life on all levels and am currently working on that area once again.
