Dr. Stoll, gallstones/sludge not detected by US?

Hi Dr. Stoll,

A few weeks ago I had an US of the abdomen that showed no gallstones, not even sludge, which surprised me since I am a 45 YOF with a strong family history and have eaten a lot of fried foods.

Anywho, I was wondering what the chances are that I could have sludge or stones that would not show up on US? I am considering doing a liver/GB flush and would appreciate your comments on this.
