Nutritional yeast tastes better. It costs more because it is grown on molasses and beets,purposely, as a nutritional supplement. Brewer's yeast is a byproduct of breweries so it's cheaper.
I don't know if Brewers Yeast has all of the amino acids that nutritional yeast has, check the label. The nutritional yeast that I have has 18 amino acids, and 500 to 1000 mg of each per 3 tablespoons .
BREWER"S yeast is the one that has chromium, which helps diabetics.
