Hi Cathy,
Have you gone to see a massage therapist or a rolfer? Both should be able to help break up adhesions, using different methods. You might need to see both. People who specialize in other methods of connective tissue release may be helpful.
I'd get out the yellow pages and start calling all of these, interview a bunch and see if you can find anyone with experience in resolving it.
Also start googling natural anti-inflammatories and anti-inflammatory diets. Start eating the natural substances and change your diet, and see if that helps.
